Get ready for the return of The Emmalene Wines Dash for Cash! After a hugely successful debut in 2025, this high-energy sprint is back!

Sponsored by Emmalene Wines, the Dash for Cash celebrates local athletic talent and community sports and promises to be a highlight of the 2027 Show program.

Who Can Enter

This year, the Dash for Cash is open to all sporting clubs across the Barossa, Light & Gawler region.

The event will feature separate races for men and women.

Depending on entry numbers, heats will be run for both the male and female races prior to the finals.

To keep things fair, previous year’s winners are not eligible to participate.

A Unique Race with Generous Prizes

This is not your average sprint! The 77-meter distance is a nod to the opening of Angas Recreation Park in 1877, giving this modern event a special historical connection to our local sporting grounds.

Prizes include:

$200 for each race winner to take home.

$1,000 donation to each winning athlete’s club.

Thanks to the generosity of Emmalene Wines, the total prize pool is an impressive $2,400.
